Happy Holidays... I'm Thankful

Quick post as my house is as loud as a night club on a Saturday night & I want to be apart of this party. Every year my Dad dresses up as Santa & my daughter already thinks that Santa is really my Dad...funny. My sons 2 favorite toys was his MP3 player which he has not taken off yet and his 1970' disco strobe light. My daughter is all girl changing outfits and wanting her nails painted twice w a day. So no surprise her favs included new cloths and of course some bling bling jewelry to go with it.

Happy Holidays to you all. Cherish this time with you family & take TONS of pics to remember it.

Well, the music is blasting and the party is calling for me.

Until next time,

Lake Eola Engagement session

Maureen & Steve actually live a few blocks from Lake Eola. I always say if I didn't have kids and I could persuade my wife to live downtown I would be right there. I like the city life as well as the nightlife.

We had some fun and got some really great images. Can't wait for there wedding on the Beach at Hammock Dunes in Palm Coast.

Say hello to my little friend, THANK YOU Santa

Santa dropped off my gift for being a good boy & busy photographer this year early. Please meet my new Nikon D3s. The BADEST as in most AWESOME camera on the planet. "Awesome" being used as a relative term. It is certainly the best for wedding photography To a photographer we are kids in candy store when ever we get new "toys" or "gear". I currently shoot with the D3/D700 & D300 which are all used differently. I know for most of you reading this, you may not even find this informative or fun to read, but you should understand why I am sooooo stoked. Let me also say that quality lenses are as important or even MORE important then camera bodies. They also last a lot longer. I will spare you on that topic for another time.

I am a firm believer that the camera is merely a tool that is used by photographers. Weather Nikon or Canon or any other brand for that matter. It is what you capture that is the most important and to a very large extent the camera means very little. Creativity is priceless & were I live to be. I have caught the coolest images on my Iphone, but I wouldn't shoot my kids plays or a wedding with it.

In this digital era cameras have become much like computers. With new models being introduced every year or two. As a professional photographer it is important for me to have the "most effective" tools to do my job which is wedding photography. The D3 Introduced in November 2007 has been said to be the most ground breaking camera since the 1st digital camera was introduced. It was proclaimed to be the KING of low light photography. Prior to this camera shooting above 800 ISO w/o a flash was deadly. Pictures would look grainy and at 3200-6400 ISO would look EXTREMELY grainy and unusable for most photography. Most were skeptical of Nikon claims since prior to this HUGE mega pixels was what was thought to be "important" & Canon has lead that race for a long time (read below). But after initial stock images were seen online it quickly became "THEE camera" to have for wedding/ indoor sports and anything that requires the highest image quality in low light. Canon has now seen the "light" pun for Canon users. MANY MANY canon shooters switched to Nikon due to this & now they are in a frenzy trying to compete with NIKON on clean low light photography. Nikon also offers the D3X which offers sharpest images in any 35mm SLR at 24.5 mgs which are razor sharp and a totally different camera then what I need it for.

Well, The D3 which I thought I would keep until the D4 comes out at the end of 2011 has been retired. Typically with Nikon when they add an "S" to a current model it is just a very small difference that not really worth the upgrade. The D3S is DEFINITELY worth the upgrade. Now includes a few things the D3 did not have such as image sensor cleaner like D700 which is a mini D3, it now also sports High Definition video & a few other advancements, BUT none that excited me more then even CRAZIER High ISO shooting. Images now usable at ISO 12.800 topping out at 102,400 ISO which is basically night vision w/o any light needed of course above ISO 12,800 for me will not be an option, but just the fact that it is capable is insane.

One of my photographers is a 5d markii shooter so I am also able to compare side by side images of the same wedding. I would like to be clear that I am In no way against canon they are INCREDIBLE cameras & the end the battle between Nikon & Canon is good for us all.

For me available light is king and this new camera just fits my style perfectly.

I can't wait to post some images for you to see.

Until Next time,

SC

Ashlynn & Juan Married at Heathrow

I 1st met Ashlynn & Juan last August when I photographed Juan`s sisters wedding. Ashlynn was one of the bridesmaids and Juan a groomsman. So, I kinda got to see them together over a ear ago. So, When they contacted me to document their wedding I kinda felt like we knew each other already. A few months ago we did there engagement session at Uptown Altamonte and I got to see them being themselves. On the wedding day Ashlynn looked amazing with the face of a china doll it just looks perfect (I'm sure you agree Juan). Ashlynn's smile just makes me want to smile. Juan you looked dashing as well and quite good in front of the camera. You are both lucky to have found each other.

It was a small wedding at Heathrow Country Club in lake Mary. I'm sure many of you are familiar with it. Losing light early due to daylight savings time was quite a challenge as I just love to use natural light. It worked out very well. W/ 2 photographers we were able to capture Ashlynn and Juan at the same time. The ceremony was also done at Heathrow and with more then a few tears in the audience it was quite emotional. It's always nice to see past couples I have photographed now that there married & that I was the person who will be tied to them forever, I mean like generations. It is an honor for me to be "the Photographer" & documenting love stories.

You guys are AWESOME!!!.

Until Next time,

Merry Christmas thief I gave you an Iphone

Okay! so we all have addictions of some sort or another. Just to name a few that I have in no particular order we have coffee, pizza, pizza & more pizza (this may be my #1) poker, motorcycles, photography, watching cartoons w/my kids...and several hundred more including my Iphone. Those of you who have will understand how my heart was broken when on Saturday while shooting a BEAUTIFUL wedding I ((LOST IT)). Thats right gone, vanished w/o me even realizing it. By the time I did notice which was only about 5 mins from leaving the ceremony we headed back to Lake Eola and well, as you might expect it was to late.

The pain was relentless for a couple of days. It's amazing on how dependent we are on this little device. It is really lake a mini MAC. Think of it all your contacts personal info and tons of photos & videos. It`s not that i can`t replace it. I have everything backed up, but It's the fact that someone has access to all my info and is calling who knows who bragging on how some dumb azz lost their Iphone.

Oh well, It`s been replaced at FULL retail price of $400 bucks (Ouch!) but this time I have it protected using the annoying security code everytime I use it, BUT now at least have piece of mind for the future loss!...LOL

So, thief, if your reading this MERRY CHRISTMAS! Call me maybe I can do your holiday photos.

Kristin & Ricky are Married

You may remember this couple from a few weeks ago when I posted their e-session in from of a amazing graphitti walls. Kristin & Ricky are easy going and a blast to be around. I think of them as "hot & spicy" which both of them can be...in a good way.

Married at the Wyndham Orlando resort. Kristin looked AMAZING. Look for yourself. Her eyes are captivating and in her beautiful dress was rocking some really "fierce" poses.

Ricky, is the strong silent type, but does take direction well. From me and ESPECIALLY from Kristin... They rock! very special people.

Best wishes!

Until next time.

Alison looked beautiful with her AWESOME purple shoes. Purple is her favorite color. I think it's the color of passion. Many of the details were adorned in purple including the wedding cake. I have done a few weddings at Timacuan country club it is really a great place to celebrate. Scott has a great sense of humor and with his boston accent everything he says sounds funny. I really like these guys. It was good times and tons of fun.

Emmanuela & Sven at the Ritz Carlton

Emmanuela & Sven got married at the Ritz Carlton in West Palm Beach located right on the ocean & I do mean right on. We intended to go on the sand to get some shots, but the tide was so high the water came right up to the Ritz Carltons wall. But, other then that little problem it was an amazing day as the weather was perfect! & the Bride & Groom looked perfect.

They agreed to see each other before the ceremony and it really paid off. Sven & Emmanuela are two comfortable people in front of the camera. They made my job much easier with tons of laughs & Huge smiles we were able to capture- candid, spontaneous and fashion looks with ease! We went from CRACKING up to the "serious" look in less then a nano second at times, well except for me. Can you all just look at this couple & see that they could be models.

Surrounded by lots of friends and family from around the world there were many heart felt speeches and tears of joy in the room. It is clear that these two are loved by many and have a spectacular future ahead of them.

Until next time.

Makes it all worth it...

I love what I do. I don`t even think of it as a "job". I get to spend every Saturday at a life changing event that I will forever be a part of. It`s a HUGE honor when a couple chooses me to begin with.

Three of the "things" that reassure my decision to be a wedding photographer.

1) Referrals from past brides are ALWAYS flattering and greatly appreciated. It tells me & the "new bride" that their friend or relative "trusts me" & loved the job I did for them.

2) is when I receive the email after the couple sees their images online for the 1st time. Although each says it differently the message is the same... Amazing /Fabulous / Absolutely love them...etc. It just makes me feel good.

And then:
3) receiving a personal hand written note thanking me. It is soooo flattering and touching.

These are just a few of things that make my "job" the best!

I Thank you all for allowing me to document your special day.

Until next time,
SC

Miami Heat

Miami is known for it's HOT weather and lifestyle. When Elizabeth told me that She & Jerome had decided to get married at a B E A U T I FU L home in Miami on an island with magnificent views of the intercostal I was totally into it.

I originally met Elizabeth when she had hired me to photograph a surprise Birthday party for Jerome at Luxautica car Club In Orlando. If you are into High end car & I do mean VERY high end cars this is a place to visit. We got along extremely well. Both Elizabeth & Jerome are just 2 easy people to like and talk to. Elizabeth had told me that eventually they would be married and like for me to photograph their special day. Well, months had passed & then one day I got the "do you remember me" call. Of course I said yes!. And the next thing you know I am in Miami at a AMAZING home with views that are simply put "breath taking". Elizabeth & Jerome looked like they stepped out of the pages of Grace Ormond magazine. This small intimate wedding was for just close family and friends. From the smiles on everyones faces I think all would agree that this couple is made for each other.

You guys are fantastic!

Until Next time,

I (heart) NY

A little background on this shoot. I have admired this place over the past year or so even going so far as taking special trips out there just to see if any new work was done. I never even saw a person there. But, this time was different. I thought it was abandoned buildings but would notice that new pieces would show u from time to time. This is also a location that requires a "special" type of couple that is cool with this as a backdrop. I found that couple. This past week I had the pleasure to do an engagement session for Ricky & Kristen. Ricky, also from New York was stoked about shooting there session here. We met late in the day to try and avoid the heat... COME ON already it's october..I ready for cooler air.

I was born and raised in NY. Born In Yonkers, then living in Brooklyn then back to the Bronx I was around Graphitii during my early years as it was everywhere. From buildings, trains, cars you name it, It was there.. I have blogged about this before & how much I love this form of art. It affects me on so many levels. 1) brings me back to remembering when I was a kid & the city I love so much. 2) These are all artists that are soooo talented I look in envy. We have all seen graphitti in one form or another. Most of the time it is really (bad) that my kids can do, & maybe even better. But, these "artists" are among the BEST!!!

We were treated to actually meeting a few of the artists. When I got there, I was AMAZED that there were not only people there, but I was going to meet these guys. Right there in front of my eyes they were creating NEW pieces of art.

Here take a look. I can't wait to for the wedding in a couple of weeks.

Until next time,

Beautiful day, Beautiful People

The setting was beautiful. Lindsay & Marcus looked beautiful. The weather was beautiful.
The house belonging to Lindsay's Aunt & Uncle w/what seemed to be almost half a football field walk from the house to the lake, was incrediblely beautiful. When I got there Marcus was busy at work making sure the flowers were just perfect and they were. The day just went perfect and it was clear that everyone felt the love. Memorable moments for me was the 1st dances, especially with Lindsay & her father. Just Beautiful.

BTW Marcus is the owner of Rose Mary's Flowers in Winter Park. If your are looking for flowers PLEASE give him a look.

Best Wishes to you guys.

Sunrise in Cocoa Beach

The love for the ocean that Amy & James share is part who they are. So much so that that is where they are going to exchange their vows on a Yacht in Ft Lauderdale April of 2010 that can fit over 250 guests. This ain't no little boat we are talking about.
So, when Amy & James asked if I would take there engagement images on the beach at "SUNRISE" I thought wow! beautiful & romantic. BUT, then I remembered I was going to have to wake up at up at 4;45 am to drive to Cocoa bch. I have not had to wake up that early in sooooo many years I had to go buy an alarm clock. I currently use my kids as my alarm clock who wake me up everyday by 7:00am.

Anyway, it turned out beautifully. James even told me that when they got home they too crashed for a few hours.

You guys are FANTASTIC!. Looking forward to your wedding day.

Three's company

I TOTALLY enjoy engagement sessions. They are just fun. I often get requests to incorporate props and many times the props are pets. So, when Jessica asked to bring the only child for now named "Steve", I was stoked, since I LOVE animals.

Jason, A big teddy ear was really good about having his picture taken in what was a pretty humid day. I think a couple of times I actually called Jason (Jessica's finance') "Steve". Thanks for understanding Jason. Your destination wedding in Mexico will be beautiful!

Mary & Keith with a side of Gaylord Palms

Married on what was a beautiful day with only the slightest hint of rain. The ceremony was held at a small church with many close friends & family. Keith who I had only met the day of the wedding was looking very handsome and anxious to be married to his beautiful soon to be bride Mary. Many of our pictures were to be done at the ceremony location of the Celebration Golf club which is amazing for weddings and UNREAL greens for pictures. But, as mentioned the rain put a little damper on that so, luckily Keith's sister Cassie who is the person to speak with by the way to reserve your date at the Celebration County Club pulled some stings with people she knows at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando which is one of the most incredible hotels you will ever visit. It too is a wedding hot spot that is straight out of a magazine for weeding pictures.

So we spent about a half hour (indoors) protected from the rain and able to get some really incredible images.

Here are a few from the day.

Enjoy!

Until next time,

Help fight Cancer..Images for a cure

Greetings all, Today I blog to ask for your help. Weather affected directly or indirectly we all know someone who has battled with cancer. I have had family members and friends who have been diagnosed w/ 1 form or another.

We as photographers are so lucky to do what we do, and MANY of us try to "give back". This is a GREAT! cause and I felt I MUST be apart of this. We can all give something on October 11th. Through the efforts of Images for a cure I would like to open up 3 spots on October 11th for photography. The session fee will be only $100 & will be made by you to images for a cure. This will include session fee only. Prints and images on DVD will be additional. But his can be for family portraits, High school seniors, children, couples in love or for almost anything. It must take place in Seminole or Orange county This is for a FANTASTIC! cause. Please let all your friends and family know.

I am here to answer any questions you may have.

HELP fight by giving.

Birthday Bash Family style

Okay, so my wife has a HUGE family that starts with 10 brothers and sisters. I know you all just said WOW!!!. Well, every year we celebrate since 4 or 5 of them (I lose count) have B-Days within a few days of each other. We had a blast and so did the kids.

The funny thing is, the only kid I did not photograph was my son... He eluded me the whole day.

If you look close enough you will notice my sister in law cleaning my nieces braces w/ a CAN OPENER!

It`s time for some of you to start using "grecian formula" or "just for men" hair color, that is if you still have hair to put it on...LOL

Happy Birthday to you all!

Hello Everyone,
Meet Tenesha & Mike. They are 2 great people that really look good together. Mike, is on the quiet side but took direction really well. I must admit I have a soft spot for Tenesha. She is a school teacher (just like my wife) & we ALL know what an important job that is & how difficult it can be.

Ashlynn & Juan getting Married

Jill & Steve at the Omni at Champions Gate

Well, I remember asking Jill what she and Steve did for work. When Jill told me that they are rocket scientists that made my giggle since we have all used that term once or twice in our lives. But in this case it was true. Both working at the Cape. These are two smart people, but can honestly tell you they are a FUNNY couple who I instantly felt a great vibe from. Steve is a naturally good hearted and a "regular" guy. Who just also happens to be easy to like.

Jill & Steve agreed to see each other prior to the ceremony to gives us more time & get more relaxed images. It is ALWAYS so special to see "1st look" reactions. Jill had one of the most AMAZING dresses I have ever seen. She looked stunning and it shows in every picture. I said this before, but Jill's eyes are the most AMAZING color green I have ever seen.

Everybody involved from Champions Gate Omni Hotel to Eventfully yours planning was fantastic and the night was just perfect.

They should be getting back from the European honeymoon today ( I am soooo jealous!)

Thank you again for making me feel so mush a part of your day.

Until next time,

Lauren & Shaun in Winter Park

I must admit I do find winter park so much fun to do engagement sessions at. And, although I have sooo many locations, many of my couples prefer the "Winter Park" look/feel. So, we met late Sunday to get some sweet images. Shaun, is one of those relaxed guys that was unaffected by the camera. Often times I hear from my grooms that they are not good in front of the camera. I always tell them this time will be different. This time I did not need to make that speech. Both Shaun & Lauren were natural and we had a blast.

Can't wait for the wedding in July of 2010.

Kristen & Jason Esession at Uptown Altamonte

It`s been a while since I blogged but will catch up soon I hope. This will be a great place to start.

Kristen & Jason met up with me at uptown Altamonte @6:30pm to have some fun with thier e-esession. And WOW!!! was it still HOT!!.But we still managed to get some really beautiful images.
Jason, like most of us guys wasn't the biggest fan of being in photos, but I promised him that I would make it as painless and as fast as possible. I think he did fantastic!
Kristen, is a natural in front of the camera her eyes are just AMAZING. I can`t wait to capture the wedding day next month. Check back to see them in about a month.

I think even though it was blazing hot & humid these came out pretty "cool"...LOL sorry couldn't help myself.

Until next time,

Fire works with Juslin & Bobby

I blogged about Juslin several months ago. We actually met in a funny way. I was originally contacted by Juslins sister Maggie who was getting married this past March. Before I met w/ Maggie about photographing her wedding I had explained that I already had a verbal commitment from another couple, who that same weekend formally reserved me. I thought that was the last time we would talk. Until just a couple of months later I got an email that said "my sister recommended you". Well, not really knowing who that was I was pleasantly surprised to find out is was Maggie. Even though she had found another photographer she remembered me and suggested Juslin meet with me. Well, that was about 6 or so months ago. And just this past July 4th I had the honor of documenting Juslin & Bobby`s wedding in Winter Garden.

Bobby, your speech at the alter was very moving and you did a fantastic job. It`s obvious that you were already "family". The love & respect you have for each other is quite obvious.

Just days after the honeymoon., Bobby & Juslin moved to Oklahoma..BURRRR! where Bobby will be a local sports caster for a news station there.

Great people, all of you. I thank you so much for allowing me to document this special day.

A very special thank you to Maggie, who made this all possible.

Best Wishes,

Ke`Shea & Kelvin at the Omni

WOW! talk about a beautiful wedding surrounded by a whole bunch of fun people and you have a party that looked like a wedding. Ke'Shea & Kelvin are 2 sweet types. And Kelvin, well he came up with some really funny things to say and also to photograph. At every wedding I find myself having a connection and this one was no different. When the father daughter dance happened I saw Ke`sheas father get very emotional and EVERY person in that huge room could FEEL the love and pure emotion that was inside this man. I pictured myself dancing w/ my daughter who is only 4yrs old right now, at her wedding and I must admit I was extremely touched. It was a very powerful moment for me and I was soooo glad I was able to capture it for Ke`Shea & Kelvin.

Best Wishes to you.

The Ortiz Crew family session

This past week I had a blast photographing this FANTASTIC family. We spent about an hour on this HOT and humid day. Within minutes everyone had sweat beads running down there faces. But that didn`t stop us. Vicky, who as usual looked fabulous and as if she was going into a fashion shoot was accompanied by her husband who I wish I could say looked equally as good, but I can't. Luckily, the focus was on the kids, Alec, Emma & the Oldest Marc who currently attends USF in Tampa (go Bulls) and is quite a good catch. Good looking and smart with a very bright future ahead of him. What else needs to be said about Alec & Emmy. Take one look at them & you just want to eat them up there soooooo delicious!  Without question 2 of the cutest kids you will EVER see.

I just wish Andy, the father was half as good looking and as well behaved as the rest of the family. Vicky, You are an angel. I know he`s a work in progress, but PLEASE be patient and continue to work on him.

In all seriousness these guys are THE BEST! and for this blog post I will say MY FAVORITE (in laws) that`s right We are family and thus the reason I get to give Andy my bro in law a hard time here. He also happens to be the god father of my son.

I will soon be heading to Atlanta to photograph another sister in law who will be my next "favorite" for my blog post...LOL

2010 weddings looking good

Are you getting married in 2010?. I am amazed at just how many weddings I am booking for 2010 already. Even though in these economic times couples are usually booking about 6 months out from there date. Some of our weddings next year will be at Rollins College, Portofino Bay Hotel, Vizcaya in Miami, The Omni at Champions gate & The Lake Mary events center. These venues book very fast as well, thus another reason to book early.

I am meeting w/ couples that appreciate my style of wedding photography and are booking for 2010 & even 1 for 2011. Early this month I did a perfect wedding guide bridal show & just yesterday booked my 3rd from just that show alone. That will put us at 12 booked weddings for 2010. The reason I bring this up is if you are getting married in 2010 you need to reserve your vendors ASAP because you should not have to "settle" for your 2nd or 3rd choice because of waiting to long.

I would love meet with you & to talk to you about your wedding day. Also, I am still offering 2009 pricing for 2010 weddings until September of this year.

Best Wishes,
Scott Craig

Kristen & Brian Esession in Winter Park

Sometimes I get so busy it`s hard to remember what day it is. This was one of those days. When I 1st scheduled Kristen & Brian I had totally forgotten that the Sunday we scheduled was "Fathers Day"...oops!. Actually, we all all forgot. I later found out it was even Kristens sisters birthday.

But, it was actually a great time to do this esession as the streets in Winter Park were not so crowded although the humidity was unbearable it was cute to see this young couple interact with each other. Kristens eyes and smile can light up the room. And I learned Brian although soft spoken is in the Marines and was so polite & respectful and really did quite well in front of the camera. We got a ton of really cute images that I`m sure will make this Marine happy. You guys are to cute!.

Thanks for a great time!,

Let`s have some fun...Braveheart style

Ok so you may be asking yourself a "Braveheart style" wedding. Well sort of. I always tell people that many times good wedding images come from 1st.) have fun Becky & Rick fit this criteria for great images perfectly. It`s the biggest day of your life and possibly the biggest party you`ll have in your honor. #2) have a good relationship with your photographer. For me, as many of you know, I like to laugh and always have fun. So, if you are the same we will get along GREAT! # 3) as a photographer that likes to push the conventional thoughts of what "traditional" wedding photography should be, I often encourage props in images. In this case it was very unexpected. #4) "1st look" this is becoming more popular these days. Rick & Becky opted to do this. This is when the couple opts to see each other for a few minutes before the ceremony. It allows us to get some really great images w/o the stress of being on a time line for the reception or guests. It also enables you to enjoy the day w/o being pulled in & out of the day for images. Many of the wedding images in magazines are done this way. For me, it`s becoming more popular with about 25% of my clients agreeing to this. The 1st time they see each other is magical.

Married at the Winter Park Civic center on what turned out to be a beautiful day for a wedding even though just days before we had treacherous weather with tons of rain. As a matter of fact I remember Rick being a little concerned when we met days prior (Rick i`m sure you remember as well...LOL) But it worked out perfectly.

This was the 1st time I ever photographed a wedding where the best man wore a REAL SWORD ala Braveheart. I`m not kidding. He even had the extreme talent to make it himself. He was armed in case anyone stood up who objected to thier marriage. Well, as you can guess not 1 objection. This gave new meaning to "crowd control". The sword came in quite handy during the cake cutting as well. Another 1st for me.

It was really nice to see the 2 families and there dynamics get along so well. It felt like a family reunion at times. We also got to hear Rick do some singing along with some of his good friends that were there. Can`t remember the song, but I think from the 80`s... I`m glad they all have day jobs.

Thank you all for a fantastic time.

Until Next time,

Sensational celebration at the Portofino Bay Hotel

When John met Vanessa it was originally a long distance relationship. While John was living in Orlando Vanessa still lived in Aruba (very nice). But thier love pulled them closer & the day finally came when they would exchange there vows. Having two ceremonies the 1st held a very beautiful church in Kissimmee and the second at one of the most beautiful Hotel and wedding venues in all of Florida. The Portofino Bay Hotel. This place just has a european flair to it. Vanessa, whom by the way I never even met till the wedding day looked absolutely gorgeous. All my contact and conversation was done 100% through John. And after consulting with Vanessa, agreed to hire me to document their wedding day. I am soooo glad they did, as I witnessed one of the most fun couples EVER!. I was able to capture so many emotional pictures between Vanessa & her wonderful mother as well as John and his Mom.
With a great bridal party the day had some nice opportunities for fun images. Check out all the pictures in the wedding gallery.

You guys are fantastic! thank you for such a beautiful and fun day.

Best Wishes,

Dwayne & Angel...Winter Park

We had lots of laughs and even managed to capture some really cute images in Winter Park. I find that sometimes guys are a little more "concerned" about being in pictures. This was just the case w/ Dwayne. With a handshake grip that could crush your bones and a former fullback for the Gators I think he even won an SEC championship with them, he was a little timid about "pictures" at first. But after a few minutes I learned that this grid iron player is a "teddy bear" and can easily see the charm Angel found in Dwayne. Angel, is as her name refers. She is as sweet as they come and makes you feel at ease instantly. After a few minutes of settling in we got some magical pictures which included there extremely cute daughter Naya who had absolutely no problems in front of the camera she`s a natural.

Thanks Again,
SC

Jill & Steve ...Rocket Scientists

Well, kinda. They are both engineers at the Kennedy space center. So, yes they both have SUPER HUMAN intelligence, but are two regular people and a TON of fun. And me a person who LOVES fun people naturally got along great with these guys. Jill & Steve are 2 people who definitely do not fit the stereotypical engineer profile. We took the engagement session photos at the very beautiful Leu Gardens in Orlando. I have done several wedding there, but this was different. I actually was able to slow down walk around while we talked and saw more of Leu Gardens and found a couple of "secret" spots for future wedding pictures.

Jill and Steve are getting Married in August at the very beautiful and sophisticated Omni Hotel at Champions Gate. If you are looking for someplace different, I highly recommend you check it out.

Guys I can`t wait for the wedding. Good thing I`ll be taking most of the images from the ground floor and not from balconies...LOL.

10 years in the making

After 10 years of dating, Josh & Alicia tied the knot. This was a beautiful day that started at the Chapel at Rollins College in Winter Park. Talk about historical and just a beautiful setting for a wedding. The chapel is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. For those of you familiar with Rollins College you know what I`m talking about. Alicia & Josh are two fantastic people that made me feel very comfortable. Enough to take a short dunk in a fountain. This was a 1st for me...((LOL inside joke)).

The real party got started at Maison & Jardin were everybody let loose including Maria, Alicia`s wonderful mother to whom I owe this all to. It was she, who found my website and introduced me to Alicia. And in one of those coincidental moments, Alicia actually saw an old friend of hers on my site who was a past bride. Some of the most memorable and fun pictures of the night were w/o a doubt of Maria dancing and getting her groove on.

Josh, you are a very lucky man. Alicia has a huge heart and a GREAT! personalty. Alicia, your fortunate to find someone that is as caring and easy going as Josh. And can easily see the love & respect he has for you as well as for your family.

Thanks to all of you for allowing me to share this day with you.

Katie & Chris in St Augustine...

After a long serious committed relationship Chris & Katie decided it was time to get married. And Although they traveled a long way from upstate New York many of there friends and family followed to join in on this fabulous day. Short story, prior to the wedding day I had never even met Katie or Chris, As a matter of fact I had only spoken to Katie a handful of time just prior to the wedding day. It was Shawna who is Chris` sister who also did much of selecting the vendors while she lives in florida. Originally, I was to document there wedding in November of 2008 in Cocoa beach area, but Chris and Katie were about to have thier 2nd child. And like any bride trying to fit into a wedding dress and being able to move around, which is a challenge even w/o any other "issues" to hinder that Katie had told me wedding would take place after she gave birth to Keely. So, spring forward 5 months to April and now we are on the Beach in St. Augustine joined by great friends & family, including there 2 ADORABLE girls Teaghan & Keely. How special is that going to be in a few years when they can understand the importance of this day.

So, being that I never met Katie and knowing she recently had a child (only 7 weeks prior) I was flooooored when I 1st saw her. She could easily be on the cover of a magazine. We did several pictures on the beach while the day was INCREDIBLE the wind blowing katies Veil in air was really beautiful.

We had a great time with the bridal party. Everybody was so relaxed and fun...especially Katie who was up to anything I suggested even though the sun was hammering our eyes.

Best Wishes to you all,

Tracy and Will in Winter Garden

This small intimate wedding took place in Winter Garden just off of Plante st. on a day that simply started out glorious. You could not ask for better weather. The sun smiling on Tracy & Will`s wedding day. This young and friendly couple met at an early age & knew they were meant for each other.

Tracy`s dress was absolutely on of the most beautiful you will ever see. I always learn something at every wedding about the couple that are surprising. And this wedding was no different. For there 1st dance they did ball room style dancing which was beautiful. Only to find out that it runs in the family as Tracy then did a ball room dance with her father. Then a few of the guests also started to Ballroom dance. I thought I was watching Dancing with the Stars.

I had a great time and thank you for a beautiful day.

Another AMAZING wedding at Eagle Creek country club

Well, their married. Kelly & Jesse exchanged vows on April 4th on what was a spectacular day at Eagle Creek country club.

Kelly & Jesse looked as if she walked out of a movie set. As I blogged about these two after their engagement session on how much fun they are & without question the the dynamic duo of laughter when put together. They compliment each other so well.

From the second I arrived to do the girls getting ready shots the laughter and fun began. They are regular peeps with no “bridezillas” here. Kelly had her and her brides’ maides hair and make up done by Candi Ekstrom who is an on location personal hair & make up artist.

The bridal party fit right in. Loose and let`s have some fun attitude makes it easy to do my job. The music kept people dancing, from a little bumping & grinding to a little old sckool brake dancing/ poping from Vanilla ice to wrappers delight.(Matt don`t worry it`s our secret).

Jesse your 1st dance with your mother was very emotional & one that put a tear in everyone’s eye that attended. It was very touching and part of the evening. You might think that looking at Jesse`s 6ft 5in stature he would be intimidating, but in fact it`s nice to see a man who admits to watching americas next top model is also in touch with his sensitive side.

You are both very lucky to have found each other you fit perfectly together. Thanks again for making me feel so much a part of your day.

Intimate wedding at Leu Gardens

A couple f months ago I had the pleasure of photography Erin & Rob`s engagment session in Thornton park. And with the blink of an eye they were walking down the Isle. Both looked amazing and neither showed a sign of being nervous. Erin & Rob agreed to see each other prior to the ceremony. which I know many couples don`t like to do, but I can tell you it is MUCH more popular today then many may think. This yr I am happy to say that several of my weddings have decided to do this. We are really able to get more of the "fashion style" photos we see in magazines that we like so much (including me). To me, Erin & Rob are not concerend with all the glitz and glamour of the "big wedding". Their style is more about the peolple and acknowledging all of them in a way that they are comfortable with. Towards the end of the night they both kicked of the shoes for the comfort of  pair of Nike sneakers...fun and relaxed, just as they are.

Thank again Guys,
SC
