Laura & Chris at Don Cesar Hotel St Pete

Okay, so I met Laura over about a year ago. And I can tell then she was just giddy over getting married and of course to the man of her dreams!!...Chris (yes Chris..you are that man). Her plans included many things, but one that was most important was that her Father be there in spirit. Don Caesar Hotel is a fond memory of when they would visit St Pete, so the the choice of location was an easy one. And what `s not to like at this Hotel. Sun, Beach, Sand and a BEAUTIFUL bride & groom. It was a special day to say the least with close friends & family in attendance I can tell you there were a few tears, many smiles and lots of love to go around.

Let me also say that Chris the Groom, I was a little concerned with at first. He being a Palm pre user and me an IPhone user AKA... (supreme phone on the PLANET). Like most guys we are both into technology and "gadgets" so even though I was OBVIOUSLY more technically advanced then he. I decided that if Laura chose him to be her husband. He was worth the effort to get to know. I am glad I did. He is a great guy who is very easy to laugh with and up for a good time. Forgot to mention that Laura has the Palm pre as well...ooops!. I also found out that Chris & I share another little something which is called Ebay. I can't tell you how much it use to be a part of my life and this is how Chris makes his living. So, Naturally I had to do a ring shot on the Iphone with Ebay on the screen. BTW, Ebay has an APP that fits perfectly on the Iphone...Umm, how about the PRE. (the jabs keep coming). This is an inside joke between the 3 of us.

On another note. During the "getting ready" shots I will always switch with my 2nd shooter to get our own twist on things and it never ceases to amaze me when I see the difference in the way the brides room look and the grooms. This case was no different. Laura's, with all the girls getting ready still looked waaayyy better ( I do mean cleaner) then the guys room. Chris' room I could not see the floor nor any place to sit. unless the ceiling was an option.

Lastly, I have to mention a quick shout out to Gina, Laura's mom. I appreciate everything you said and it means a lot to me, as you know when we 1st one of the things we spoke about was how I photograph a wedding and what I try to capture. I am glad you are happy. And now, I have you as a friend on Facebook.

All kidding aside. You both know how much I enjoyed myself and the honor it was to photograph your wedding day. You are both very special to me.

Thanks for putting up with me. Your the BEST!!!

Until next time,
SC

UPDATE: I have been told that they will eventually once contract is over, elevate to the (music please)...IPHONE. Wheeee. Now we can remain friends.

Sometimes I do multiple ring shots. Here they are.

Taryn & Brent Married at last

he story I heard was: Taryn met Brent while she was working at Publix. Brent came in to buy something and it was Taryn who was his cashier. She thought he was to cute to pass up. So, she had a co worker run out after him to get his phone #. Well, several years later they are now married.

When I met Taryn & Brent about a year ago to discuss their wedding plans. and at our very 1st meeting I felt really good. Conversation flowed easily as if we all knew each other for years. This is soooo important to me and should be to all you future brides looking for a photographer. If it feels right you know thats the match you need and that's your photographer. Of course you also need to like their style. When Taryn called me to say "We want you to be our photographer" I was elated. It's an honor for me. While most weddings happen at a Church of some sort or another or a venue where ceremony & reception happen at the same place. Taryn & Brent chose to have it at Brent parents house. I remember when Taryn told me this, she told me it is a nice house on a big lake, in St Cloud. But, I think she thought that I was thinking "St Cloud" OH MY how nice can a house be "for a wedding" in St Cloud. Well, let me tell you. It is one of THEE nicest homes I have ever been in, just INCREDIBLE. the back yard seemed to be 50-70 yards to the lake and the detail inside was AMAZING.

Now you add these two could be models into this setting & It's kind of like Hot fudge on top of your favorite ice cream...SWEET!

Taryn's dress was to put it simply... amazing. She looked as if she was in a bridal magazine. The cake was spectacular and the food where awesome as well. I can't say enough about puff n stuff. Always professional w/ great service and the most delicious food you can imagine. And the flowers were some of thew most beautiful I have seen from flowers by lesley

Everybody was laid back & super easy day with spectacular views and fun people who know how to party and get down.

The night ended with a spectacular display of fireworks what would give Disney a run for it's money.

Thanks for everything and best wishes.

Until next time,
SC
