Give Me Dance, I'll Give You Romance

Besides being fun, I think there’s a more profound reason why flash mobs and TV shows like “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance” have become so popular. Dance is romantic. It connects us. And like true love, it allows us to move as one, uniquely, fearlessly, tenderly and enjoyably.

So it’s no wonder that dance is a staple at all wedding receptions, even in the most sober ones that I’ve attended. More often than not, they showcase three of the tenderest moments I love to photograph: A couple’s first dance, the bride-and-father dance and the groom-and-mother dance.

But, here are a few videos of folks who’ve taken the romance of dance to a whole new level. They’re among the best circulating on the Web today. Each one spells L-U-V unforgettably.

May you learn a tip or two for a surprise you may be plotting, or simply enjoy watching these videos as much as I have. And then do as the great poet, Lord Byron, once advised -- get “On with the dance! Let joy be unconfined.”

Jamin’s Downtown Disney Flash Mob Proposal
This proposal happened right in my Central Florida backyard. I'm sorry I missed it but glad that a videographer captured it well for all of us to enjoy.
